Hello everyone!

So…how about that most recent update in EN?! With everyone on the Isle of Sages currently in a deep slumber, I thought it’d be fun to explore just what my ocs are dreaming of. So I’ll be devoting the next few days of posts to just that! Starting with my Heartslabyul and Scarabia ocs. Fair warning, some of these ARE sad! 😭

What is your oc’s ideal dream world?

Post book 6, Crisanta has only one major trouble, that soon her younger stepsister will soon be entering NRC for her freshman year. The largest source of anguish for Crisanta has always been her stepfamily and how her father essentially abandoned her, her mother and sister to have a family with another woman. And since her stepmother is a powerful mage, Crisanta’s main reason for studying magic is so that one day she can surpass her in skill. 

Her perfect dream world is rather simple. She and her sister are spending their spring break making a court ordered visit to their father and stepfamily, much to their chagrin. While having dinner, her stepsister announces that she will not be attending NRC after all but will instead be going to RSA. Crisanta is already relieved by this but when her stepmother makes a snide comment about NRC being a school for delinquents, Crisanta retorts that her magical skills have more than doubled since attending NRC. Her stepsister demands that she proves it and they have a magical duel that Crisanta wins. Her sister is thrilled but both her stepsister and stepmother are very embarrassed by this, not realizing just how much Crisanta has improved. Later, Crisanta calls up Ione and they arrange to hang out together, having fun outside the confides of school, which is always a dream come true for both girls.

Ione’s dream begins back at the start of the school year, as she’s preparing for the black carriage to pick her up from home and take her to NRC. In real life, no one was home when she left and when she called her father to tell him she was leaving, he snapped at her because he was busy at work and coludn’t be bothered. This harshness greatly affected how she was feeling when she arrived at NRC and she admittedly gave the cold shoulder to most of those who reached out to her, including Crisanta. Riddle took an immediate liking to Ione though.

In her perfect dream world, her mother is still alive and she and her eldest sister help Ione get ready to leave for NRC. Yolanda helps her daughter with her ceremonial robes makeup and reiterates over and over how proud she is of Ione for being accepted into such a prestigious arcane academy. Yolanda and Estelle give Ione one last hug and the black carriage takes her away. During the orientation, Riddle still takes a liking to Ione but she and Crisanta also hit it off right away. Ione also makes friends with Deuce and needless to say, Ace doesn’t exist in her dream world. 

In Sinclair’s perfect dream world, his overblot never happened and he’s still dorm leader of Heartslabyul. He’s successfully begun his fourth year at NRC and is taking off from his senior internship to welcome the new freshmen into his dorm. Riddle is still around but in Sinclair’s perfect dream world, he’s far less pedantic and sharp-tonged. Instead having a personality far more like how he is post-overblot. 

And surprisingly enough, Sinclair and Riddle get along reasonably well. The truth is Sinclair does respect Riddle’s magical skill and meticulous nature, albeit secretly. And if the younger hand’t ousted him and “got in the way” of Sinclair’s friendship with Trey, it’s likely they might have even become friends themselves. At the end of the Heartslabyul welcome party, Sinclair and Trey discuss dorm matters as Trey has taken the reins by acting as dorm leader in Sinclair’s absence. Sinclair decides that since he’ll soon be graduating, it’s time to make Trey’s new position official. Trey becomes Heartslabyul’s new dorm leader and Sinclair suggests that he might want to make Riddle his vice. Also in Sinclair’s dream world, he is still on good terms with Sidonie, but has no interest in seducing her. 

For the most part, Taima’s life is already perfect to her. She gets along well with her family, has good friends and enjoys being a Scarabia student. And the things that she’d prefer be different in her world are not very dire. So in Taima’s perfect dream world, the only major difference is that her siblings and Minette all attend NRC with her rather than going to RSA. Lilianne is in Pomefiore with Danica, Mateo is in Savannaclaw and Minette is in Heartslabyul. 

Taima’s dream also takes place during the interdorm spelldrive tournament and instead of Scarabia losing, they come in third place. The reason they do so well is because they don’t have the bad luck of going up against Diasomnia right off the bat and Taima still plays very well. She even plays against her brother and leads Scarabia to victory against Savannaclaw, much to Leona’s chagrin. Scarabia still loses out to Diasomnia but she’s in much better spirits about it and a certain Diasomnia cabbage head even commends her. Much to her secret delight. 

Post book 6, Iman has begun to wise up to certain realities of the world and currently, her biggest worry is what will become of her in her third year. For the longest time, her family has been dropping hints that she should take a more personal interest in Kalim. And Kalim’s father, keen to increase his political influence, really wants his son to marry into the royal family. While Iman has never really had an interest in Kalim as anything beyond friendship, lately, she has begun to see it as a reality but not for the best reasons. She doesn’t love Kalim, but she wishes to have influence in the Asim family, enough influence to convince Kalim to set Jamil and his family free. 

But in her ideal dream world, none of this is a concern. The Vipers aren’t servants and Jamil is Scarabia’s dorm leader. Iman is at his side as his vice. Though Kalim is a regular student, the three are on far better terms and  even friends. Jamil is also more receptive of the idea of being Iman’s friend, and maybe even more in time. And needless to say, with Jamil leading Scarabia and given the recognition he deserves, the events of Book 4 never happen.

BALDUR'S GATE 3 OC LINEUP; this is a glorified tag dump post for my idiots thus far. may get updated in the future with other ocs & if so it will be reblogged to showcase those changes. under the cut will be basic character introductions & they will be in order.

Rylla: wizard spell sword, high elf, genderless( all pronouns ) bisexual, neutralish, 27yo everyone laugh at the youngest member of the party haha

Rylls is my main "Tav" which is the player character. full name: Idrylla Rhea Dhwani Crisanta. they are unmotivated, burntout, tired, & p much going thru the motions. she's the eldest out of like 7 and the first in like a generation or two of elves in her family to be magically inclined so his parents rlly pushed for parentification as a help w/ the kids since her family are fishing merchants, but got sent to study at a wizarding guild schoolesc thing in Baldur's Gate where the fam is from all around. pushed to be the top of their class and the like first apprentice to the head wizard he got framed for attempted murder by a jealous rival and got tossed in jail with a two day pardon to run home and grab a journal that would prove her innocence only to find out her fiance, now ex fiance, had been cheating on them and threw out all their stuff hearing rylla was in jail and was like OH LOL WHOOPS on the way to the dump is when this jackass got abducted by mind flayers like u cant have a more worse day than rylla bc the next day was allso when he had to pay his mortgage taxes so like all that and u still gotta pay bills anyways everyone in camp wants them carnally but rylla does not romance anyone, however he does have a connection with gale that is strictly platonic. rylla is a prodigy & a spell sword

Frye: warrior, mesophlieseses tiefling, he/him cismale home of sexual, somewhat lawful good. or at least he tries, 87yo

Frye Ravensworn is from Baldur's Gate, a oathbroken paladin former flaming fist. after an accident that cost the lives of several innocents he lost faith in the order & left, turning to a life of mercenary work. after feeling as if he wasn't making any difference he "retired" to establish a popular tavern known as The Devil's Fyre( pronounced fire unlike his name Fry-ee bc hehe get it he thinks hes hilarious ) anyways he's Rylla's best friend they have been pals for ages and she usually comes to him when they need to bitch about their life. he does enjoy being a bartender and listening to others rather than being constantly asked about stories of his own adventures. it's rylla that makes him feel as he did when he was younger, having a purpose reigniting that love for life & hope in people once more so when Rylla was taken by mind flayers he picked his sword back up and closed the tavern to set out to find rylla's stupid ass knowing the next time he sees them they could be a mind flayer but at least rylla would die by a friends hand. it's in act 2 we find Frye, at the last light inn helping the harpers & flaming fist protect the tieflings from the shadows. upon seeing rylla he scoops her up & squeezes him so tight one could swear their bones popped. Frye serves as a paladin option to recruit like how mi/thara is, but for like the ~good~ route basically. Frye romances W/yll !

Carnation: druid with a class i made up called underdark druid its got bits of spore shadow sprinkled in but she can grow n manipulate crystals ! bc they are the fauna of the underdark :), auvryrahel drow, she/her cisfemale, violencesexual, evil. fucking evil. dark urge( editors note: this will change no more bhaalspawn but born of a different more fucked up god mayhaps :) ) !, 134yo

a hot pink bitch named breakfast. our favorite cult leader. last name Vasiira. raised in the underdark with a small clan of underdark-druids deep under the earth while i forgot to add her mom to this screencap dump, Momma'Nation, Trielthrae was one of the many exiled loth-drow that formed this little village of which the clan of druids lived, wanting to change the stars of her peers & sick of loth's rule--- she beseeches the gods to grant her a child that would be blessed in their light, to become a holy savior & change the world for her, her village, for the drow, & for everyone. bhaal [ GOD goes here ] read that text & answered, requiring a unholy communion of which Trielthrae gladly gave leaving her with a miraculous pregnancy. enter our little anti-christ, our cute little princess. our beautiful Carnation who was beloved & welcomed by the village with open arms. she wants power, she wants fame, she wants clothes, she wants devotion. the village quickly & completely submitted to her whims wants & needs. bhaal lends her some of his grand power, as technically she is a bhaal spawn. its just complicated. SHES A DEMI-GOD BY BIRTHRIGHT I JUST GOTTA LATER GO FIGURE OUT WHAT GOD ANSWERED HER MOM man loth is pissed about this btw lol mind flayers took her from the shores of the dark lake, this is the first time she has been outside of the underdark & once she saw the night sky at camp she wept in it's beauty. she romances as/tarion, ascendant. he sees her as a equal as she denies bhaal, stealing his power for herself & manipulates the nether brain for her own gain becoming akin to a god. keeping old shit as reference but ew lame heres the new stuff: SHE IS MANIPULATING HIM. as a demi-god shes already capable of doing fucked up shit as is however she plans to kill &/or eat a god to gain its power to become fully divine & having a powerful vampire as a minion in addition to her cult is good, she also manipulates gale to bring her that funny crown & study how to harness it with the guide she supports his journey when its for her benefit not his. she will not end her conquest until she becomes a god wholly. auvryrahel is the name of the specific village / noble house that makes up carnation's cult.

Luella: cleric, but its complicated :), auvryrahel half-drow, she/her bisexual cisfemale, her morality is whatever carnation wants, ageless

undead half-drow handmaiden to Carnation Vasiira. she acts as a nanny, a nurse, a sister, a caregiver, a friend, a confidant, & a puppet. raised from death by Carnation's mother when her daughter was only but six years old via a powerful spell that grants this undead what's left of her fractured soul & a lifespan that allows her to live as long as Carnation wills her to, Luella is devoted completely to her charge. she lives, literally, only to serve her mistress--- having left the underdark in search of her beloved flower when Carnation goes missing after a rare nautiloid sighting near the dark lakes.

G'waine: kith'rak ranger, githyanki, she/they nonbinary lesbian, chaotic good but the good is like for the good of the githyanki not you. fuck you as far as she's concerned, 38yo

UTENA COMPLEX, PRINCE OF THE CRECHE. kith'rak g'waine, a captain of her creche boldly named draa'zvir--- dragon's breath. a warrior of fine make & groom, the pride n joy of her creche the youngest to make captain in it's long history. a skilled warrior, a even better strategist she is calm collected but never cold. a proper leader in the making to eventually take over creche draa'zvir or would have if not captured by mind flayers during the chase of the nautaloid alongside lae'zel, attempting to strike down mind flayers at they attacked other gith. because of this word returned of her capture to her creche & they moved to mourn her as if she were already dead. the fallen dragon prince & the tale of noble, but foolish, sacrifice to save her gith comrades and kill the ghaik invaders. has a bit of a resemblance to a frog & was teased as a child as 'the frog prince' until her merits outshined all her sought to demean her. also she killed them as is her right. romances lae'zel & has a hellva complicated time about the whole orpheus thing. voss knows g'waine, actually a lot of the creche u visit knows them too.

“Happy Birthday Dear! I found this super pretty sketchbook the other day and immediately thought of you! I hope you like it!” (Crisanta)

“Happy Birthday Violetta! It’s not much but here is a box of chocolates from that one famous candy shop back home. You know, the one supposedly favored by the Queen of Hearts herself? It seemed appropriate since you are queen of the day! Enjoy them!” (Ione)

Violetta smiles as she accepts the sketchbook with a little curtsy. "Thank you so much, Crisanta! And it has such a cute design on the cover, too ... I would expect nothing less." She laughs and blushes a little purple.

When Ione brings her gift, though, Violetta's eyes widen and sparkle. Chocolate! The true way to her heart. "Yes, I'm ... I'm aware of it! I always dreamed of having a whole box of it to myself ..." The blush returns. "I mean, I'd only tried it before when my parents got it as a gift, so." She clears her throat. "Thank you very much, Ione. I'll be sure to enjoy them!"

Yes I have! A few of my twst ocs do have UM; for those who do, a rundown of their UM can be found in their profiles but I’ll list them here:

Taima ~ Ride The Wind, the ability to summon large and powerful gales. Strong enough to shake a person.

Iman ~ Desert Mirage, the ability to become invisible while creating an illusionary double of herself; at which time only the double is visible.

Danica ~ Swansong, a sung incantation which renders her victim temporarily unconscious; only for them to wake up completely magicless for a while. 

Sidonie ~ Harbinger of Truth, reveals the image of a person’s soul if they touch one of her especially blessed roses and, if she wills it, turns them into a physical manifestation of their soul.

Farron ~ Dream it, See it, allows him to bring anything he imagines to reality. 

Athena ~ Frozen Illusion, imprisons anything she touches in a thick shell of ice. 

Crisanta, Ione, Maximilian, Vidaria, Andrew, Minette and the Abilene twins don’t have UM yet because I’m still thinking about what would suit them best. However, I’m thinking Ione’s UM might be something related to hahahaki disease and Vidaria’s might be something terra-centric.

Camellia Giardini, they/them Western Venterre 14 years before the events of The Arcana

It’s another dusty August day on the Giardini Ranch, the heat making waves and casting a haze over the fields. The sound of cattle lowing in the distance and cicadas buzzing makes the afternoon feel sleepy and although there’s still a lot of work to do before the day is over, nobody feels much like doing it. 

Perched in a large oak tree sits Camellia, nose stuck in a book as usual. They’re far enough from the fields to avoid their family, but close enough to find their way back when it starts to get dark. Their horse Miele is grazing a few feet away, both of them enjoying a break after a morning out in the sun. At eleven years old Camellia is expected to be helping on the ranch, herding the cattle and harvesting alongside their older siblings. 

Normally, someone would have gone looking for Cam by now, with the harvest quickly approaching all hands are needed. But it had been decided that afternoon that it’s better for everyone if Cam stays out of the way during the busy season, they do more harm than good when they try to help.

Camellia can barely stay in their saddle, much less try to open and close gates or be of any use with the cattle. Even simple tasks like harvesting apples or picking vegetables are ruined by Cam’s wandering mind and Miele, who is never far from their side, who has an insatiable appetite and ends up eating more than Cam can even pick. 

Their older siblings, Cassia, Calix, Calla, and Calanthe, seem to have no problem following in their family’s footsteps, each of them seeming at home on horseback and suited to the task of farm work. Even Cam’s younger siblings, Canna, Clio, Crisanta, and Clema who is only three, manage to make themselves useful harvesting or helping Ma in the kitchen. 

It’s only Camellia who seems to have no place here, always knocking things over or forgetting to close the stable doors.

“Move aside, Cam!” 

“To your left! No your other left! Camellia, what are we going to do with you!”

Everywhere they go, Cam leaves chaos in their wake. They try to be careful, to watch where they walk and to listen to instructions, but they can’t seem to do anything right. That’s why they’re sitting in a tree alone in the middle of a busy work day, it’s better this way. 

The one thing Cam seems to be good at is reading, and luckily their family home has a library that nobody else seems to care about. The book they’re currently reading is about alchemy, a topic which seems to have been a special interest of Cam’s great great grandfather Carlo who had built the house. 

The library is where Cam spends most of their free time. It’s not a huge collection, but it’s well stocked with farmer’s almanacs and books about magic, so at least they have something to read. Their family doesn’t venture into the old wing of the house much, preferring to spend their time in the kitchen or living areas which are better heated and have more ventilation. But Cam doesn’t mind the dust or the cold, they just like having a room to themself.

Bedrooms are hard to come by in the old house and Cam shares a room with both Calla and Calanthe. While Calla is nearly sixteen and the nicest of their siblings, Calanthe is thirteen and intent on making Cam’s life as difficult as possible. The rest of their siblings act similarly, teasing them for everything and exposing Cam’s every mistake to their parents. Calla is the only one who encourages Cam to study and develop their interests, the only one who tries to understand them.

Aside from reading, Cam’s biggest interest is in magic, though they tend to think of it more as a science than a supernatural force. Even at a young age, Cam knows there are some things that can’t quite be explained, and that magic is a way to look for those explanations. 

Camellia’s Ma has a bit of magic herself, able to dry clothes at the touch of a hand, heal minor wounds, and the like, but she’s never had an interest in exploring it further. When Cam had begun to show similar signs of magical talent their parents hadn’t thought much of it besides hoping it might help Cam improve at their chores. 

So Camellia has taken things into their own hands, trying to practice and hone their skills as much as possible with only the few books they can find in the library as a guide. Their siblings make fun of them for trying and failing at magic just as they do with everything else, but Cam isn’t ready to give up. 

Just yesterday they’d been practicing and had accidentally set their mother’s prized lemon tree on fire. They’d been too proud of their fire conjuring to notice that it was burning uncontrollably, and luckily Cassia had been nearby with a bucket of water. Cam had been scolded endlessly for their irresponsibility, and it had carried over to this morning when they’d accidentally let the cattle out of their gate with the flick of a hand, nearly causing a stampede.

That was when their father had decided to give Cam the next few weeks off, better to have them out of the way where they can’t cause more trouble. They’d overheard their parents talking at lunch about sending Camellia away where they could be “put to better use”. Cam had run out of the house immediately, not wanting to hear how much their family wanted to get rid of them. 

They’d jumped on their horse and made their way to the oak tree, the only place to get some peace and quiet with eight siblings always around. It’s been many hours since then and Cam’s stomach is rumbling from missing lunch, they’re considering venturing back home when they hear a voice from the distance calling their name. It’s their older sister Calla.

“Cammy, come down from the tree.” She calls, her apron is covered in flour so Cam knows she’s been sent from the kitchen to find them. 

“Why should I! Maybe I’ll live here now, everyone would like that better.” Cam says angrily, suddenly feeling like they might cry but not wanting to do it in front of their sister. 

“Oh Cam, you know Ma and Pa didn’t mean it when they said they’d send you away.” Calla frowns, the expression not looking right on her usually happy face “And if they did I’d talk sense into them.” 

“I don’t belong here, I hate cows.” Cam mutters. Calla laughs at that, not unkindly, and reaches the bottom of the tree. 

“I don’t like them much either, but there’s plenty of other things to do.” She says, “When you’re older you can do the bookkeeping, and help Ma at the market, I bet you’d be good at that! And I know Cassia and Calix hate doing it, I’m sure they'd be happy to spend more time outside.” 

“I don’t want to do the bookkeeping, I want to do magic.” Cam sighs, swinging their leg down from the branch they’re perched on.

“And you’re good at it! Maybe we can find you a teacher someday.” Calla smiles, ever the optimist. “Isn’t Aunt Angela a witch?” 

“That’s just a rumor, Pa doesn’t like her so he calls her that, remember?” Cam laughs, thinking about their mother’s sister who had disappeared mysteriously a few years earlier. She’s somewhat of an enigma to the family, none of the children really know much about her aside from the cards she sends on birthdays and holidays.

“Well maybe it isn’t, Ma has magic after all. What if her sister does too!” Calla grins, “She lives in the city somewhere, maybe you should visit.”

“Now you’re trying to get rid of me.” Cam says, only half joking.

“Cam, I would never, you know I’d miss you too much if you went away.” Calla says sincerely, offering her hand up to help Cam. “Now come down! We made ricciarelli.” 

“But it’s not the holidays?” Cam questions, the family usually reserves cookie making for winter time when everyone is stuck indoors.

“You looked like you could use some sweets, I convinced Ma to make them as a harvest treat.” Calla smiles, her blue eyes, the same color as Cam’s, shining.

If there’s anything to motivate Cam it’s sweets. They finally decide to jump down from the tree, grabbing Calla’s offered hand for help. As they put Miele back in the stables, Cam can’t help but think about what Calla said about finding a magic teacher. 

It seems too good to be true, and they don’t know if they believe their Aunt Angela is really a witch. Still, Cam has to hope that someday they’ll be able to find a place to belong. Hopefully a place with less cows and siblings. 

As they walk back to the house, Cam takes in the rolling hills and old growth trees around them in the golden light of sunset. The countryside is beautiful, and although Cam doesn’t like living here, they have to admit that at least the scenery’s nice.

How My Twst OCs Fared During Book 6

Hello everyone!

So I’ve been sitting on this post for a while and was planning to share it right before Book 7 drops in EN. That is until a friend of mine who only plays JP pointed out that EN will likely not get Book 7 until AFTER the Glorious Masquerade event. 

With that in mind, here are some headcanons for how my ocs fared during the events of book 6. I’m only sharing headcannons for Crisanta, Iman, Danica, Sidonie and Vidaria since book 6 effected them the most. Note, some of these are LONG. 

Crisanta was feeling sick on the day STYX infiltrated the school. Because of that, she decided not to attend that morning's board game club meeting and Ione decided to come in late so she could stay with her and make sure she was alright. When Ione returned to Heartslabyul a while later, she told Crisanta about what had happened and Crisanta decided it would be best for neither of them to leave their dorm until the chaos winded down and someone could locate the dorm leaders that were taken by the charrons. 

“There are more important things to consider now. Please don’t worry about me.” 

Though she wasn’t fully recovered, Crisanta takes it upon herself to help Cater and Trey maintain order at Heartslabyul as the latter became acting dorm leader during the crisis. She also helped to keep Ione calm as she worried what had happened to Riddle. They both were greatly relieved when he returned to NRC safely. And Crisanta was able to use some of her restoration magic to help return Riddle’s white hair to its original red color.

Iman was spending the morning with Vidaria and Heloise at Diasomnia when they received word about STYX infiltrating the school. She immediately went back to Scarabia where Kalim informed her about what happened, much to her horror. As Kalim went off to meet with the other teachers and dorm leaders, Iman helped maintain order in her dorm and when Kalim returned, acted as an unofficial vice dorm leader. 

Had this crisis occurred earlier in the school year, Iman might not have taken this as seriously. But her experiences in books 4 and 5 have had a big hand in helping her wise up to the rest of the world outside her tiny circle. She was extremely worried for Jamil’s wellbeing but managed to keep her feelings in check so she could support Kalim as best as she could. Especially in the moments where Kalim really needed someone to confide in. Jamil’s absence hit him particularly hard, not just because he had no idea what had happened to him, but also because Kalim was beginning to realize just how much he depended on Jamil. The self introspection that began in book 5 continues on as Kalim is given more time to consider just how much Jamil has been forced to sacrifice for his sake. And his fear that Jamil’s disdain for him might very well be justified.

“I tried so hard to be mad. But the truth was, I was confused.” 

Iman is also dealing with her own introspection as she finally has some time to really think about the events that led to Jamil’s overblot. The pressure and stress of VDC prep forced her to place most of these thoughts in the back of her head but now they have time to really develop. And for the first time in her life, she’s beginning to question the point of her and Kalim’s status. What is the point of the archaic hierarchy they live in if one of the effects is that it keeps people like Jamil down at the bottom even if she is on top. She doesn’t really talk to Kalim about these things but she tries to assure him that everything will go back to normal soon enough despite not being so sure herself. Or even if she wants things to go back to normal anyway. 

Danica, Sidonie and Vidaria under the cut!

Danica was supposed to be present at the Ramshackle meeting but ended up not being there for…reasons. Yet despite her absence, it didn’t take her long to realize what happened at the meeting and when she found out that Vil was taken, she actually fainted. She was already somewhat aware of STYX due to the things Taima had told her about what Athena’s parents do for a living. Because of this knowledge, Danica decides to accompany Rook, Epel and Yuulan on their journey to the Isle of Woe. 

Her reasoning being half concern for Epel and Yuulan (whom she doesn’t trust Rook to protect) and half a genuine fear she may never see Vil again. However she is anything but happy about this and is especially unhappy about having to be around Rook. She’s still upset about his lovebombing and refuses to speak to him, forcing Yuulan to become an intermediary between them. Things are made even worse/more awkward when Rook takes them to one of his family’s houses to use a transporter. They end up spending the night and the visit brings up some very bittersweet pre-book 5 memories for her. Rook does try to reconcile with Danica but she isn’t having any of it. 

But it isn’t all bad as Yuulan is currently working through her own share of heartbreak regarding Malleus so she and Danica are able to bond some and become better friends. And when Rook is later critically injured by an attacking charron, she breaks that vow to herself and immediately expresses concern for his safety. The truth is, a part of Danica still does care about Rook and she cannot forget some of the genuinely kind things he’s done for her in the past even if she’s now questioning the motives behind it all. But even so, he still has a place in her heart even if she acknowledges that his fickle nature will only cause her pain if she loves him. With Yuulan’s further intervention, they are able to get on civil terms by the time they return to NRC and within a few weeks after that, they appear to be somewhat friends again. 

But Danica’s reunion with Vil is an extremely emotional one and from the start there are signs that their relationship will take a much more positive turn once this is all over. He is extremely protective of her as they are fighting off the phantoms and titans and even puts himself between her and the monsters more than a few times. As a mage, Danica can be described as a glass cannon whereas her skills are very strong but her body and reserves are extremely fragile. At one point Danica is nearly knocked out cold and Vil forbids her from using any further magic until it’s time to deal with the Shroud brothers. 

Danica assists in defeating the Shroud overblots and while she conceals the fact very well, she is horrified by Vil’s drastic change of appearance when he dives into the underworld. But she’s able to quickly set aside her horror when she sees how much Vil is suffering. On the journey back to NRC, Danica is Vil’s greatest (and only) source of comfort, singing for him and reminding him of his heroism. At one point she admits that she loves him, but only after he briefly drifts off to sleep. 

“Heroes often have to sacrifice something important, but they’re often rewarded too. And I can’t think of a better reward for your bravery, Vil-san.”

From the start of the school year, Danica was always fearful of Malleus and like most students, kept her distance from him. But after seeing how he fixed the VDC stage and now restoring Vil’s beauty, her fear of him has slowly eased into reverence and amiability. Something that will prove useful in the future. But in the meantime, with Vil seeing the extent of Danica’s courage and kindness and Danica seeing the extent of Vil’s nobility, they are now closer than ever. 

Sidonie has always questioned her place in Pomefiore and even in her sophomore year, still had moments of not feeling like she really belonged. After book 5, those feelings were stronger than ever for her due to VDC drama and it’s aftermath. Among other things, she took serious issue with how Vil and Rook mistreated Danica and on the morning of the crisis, tries to cheer her protégée up by taking her to Heartslabyul to collect roses. It was there that they found out about the charrons and immediately returned to their dorm. A while later, Rook made his decision to go to the Isle of Woe and to her shock, placed Sidonie in temporary charge of Pomefiore.  

Now, it would be a lie to say that Sidonie hasn’t been secretly wishing for an opportunity like this, but never did she imagine that this would be the circumstances. Added with the fact that Danica and Epel decide to follow Rook to the Isle of Woe, Sidonie finds herself extremely distressed and also finds that she can’t really enjoy being dorm leader like she’d like to. Without their dorm leaders and with rumors swirling regarding why Vil was taken in the first place, Sidonie’s major task is maintaining order in Pomefiore. But even that is difficult since further info from NRC faculty is limited and the campus is under strict curfew. During this time, Farron acts as Sidonie’s unnamed vice dorm leader but her largest source of support/advice actually comes from someone not even in their dorm.

From the start of her freshman year, Sidonie has had something of a secret friendship with Heartslabyul junior Sinclair Halophor. He’s in the same club as her but Trey has always made it clear that he’s wary of the two getting to close to each other. But while Trey is kept busy maintaining order at Heartslabyul, Sidonie and Sinclair have time to become better acquainted with the latter offering useful advice on being an affective leader. As Heartslabyul’s former dorm leader, he has a lot of insight that he shares with her. With Sinclair’s help, Sidonie is able to help her dorm mates get through the crisis and through it, is reminded of why the Dark Mirror selected her for Pomefiore in the first place. 

“I think I finally understand. The place where I belong, I was always there.” 

Even when times were difficult, Sidonie’s passion has always been her strongest trait. Her passion, resourcefulness and desire to be helpful to her dorm mates. While some aspects of Pomefiore may come off as shallow to her, Sidonie has always strived to be an example of all the best aspects about her dorm. And when the crisis passes and her friends return to NRC, Vil see’s this too. At first he’s enraged to see Sidonie sitting on his throne and wearing the crown and longer robes of a dorm leader, until Rook explains to him that it was his idea that Sidonie be in charge of Pomefiore while he went to the Isle of Woe. Farron and the other Pomefiore students attest to Sidonie’s leadership skills and because Vil was very worried about what would happen to Pomefiore without leadership, once he calms down, he’s actually very pleased with her. So much so that he decides to reward her in the best way possible.

For the most part, Vidaria remained a spectator of the events of Book 6 from the safe distance of the Diasomnia dorm. She didn’t attend that morning's equestrian club meeting due to feeling depressed and Iman opted to keep her company as well as Heloise. The reason for her depression I’ll get to in a moment. 

She finds out about the charrons when Silver and Sebek come and tell Malleus and Lilia. But because no one from Diasomnia was taken, this doesn’t really affect them. Iman rushes back to Scarabia and Lilia instructs Vidaria to remain at Diasomnia until more information is available. Soon enough school resumes though on a very limited basis. And even when classes are in session, there is a heavy air of uneasiness surrounding the classmates and faculty. But this uneasiness is nothing compared to what Vidaria was already feeling. 

Although Vidaria has no deep feelings for Malleus, she has come to accept their impending marriage and has developed a baseline like and respect for him. So it’s more than a little shocking when in Book 5, she realized that Malleus has been sneaking off to Ramshackle dorm in the evenings and has developed a friendship with Yuulan. This realization is made more awkward when after the VDC, Vidaria accidentally eavesdrops on a conversation between Yuulan and Malleus. Where they discuss the latter’s betrothal and it’s heavily implied that Yuulan has developed deeper feelings for Malleus and vice versa, though Malleus never really considered the idea that he could actually be in love with the person he marries. 

Vidaria is not exactly jealous of Yuulan per say, but she is very resentful of her. It goes unsaid that Vidaria has sacrificed a lot more for the sake of her betrothal while Malleus has sacrificed basically nothing. And because concubinage is an accepted norm in the Draconia court, Yuulan could theoretically continue to be in Malleus’ life if she never finds a way home. She could even, potentially, bear the next Draconia heir. And so Malleus will be able to experience the joy of true love without many serious obstacles, something Vidaria can only dream of.

Her resentment is worsened by the fact that she has fallen in love with another person and these feelings are very mutual even if they are secret. Unfortunately, for many reasons no less because he’s human, the mutual pining Vidaria and Silver have for each other is likely destined to end terribly. She knows this, and yet her heart can’t help but love him and she has loved him for a long time. And while he will never admit it aloud, Silver has developed feelings for Vidaria as well. On the night Malleus and Lilia visit the damaged Ramshackle dorm, Vidaria sneaks off on her own as well and Silver is tasked with finding her lest she fall prey to kidnapping again. When Silver does find her, he finds her sitting alone, gazing at the night sky with tears in her eyes. 

They both notice the same stars in the sky as Malleus and Lilia and Silver suggests that they make wishes. However, Vidaria tells him there would be no point in wasting her breath because what she wishes for is something she knows she can never have. Silver then asks why she was crying when he found her but she retorts that she wasn’t. He knows this isn’t true but in a surprising moment, Vidaria asks Silver about the Thorn Fairy and if Silver thinks she was ever lonely, being so powerful and feared. Silver says he’s never really thought about it but he does remember one story where the Thorn Fairy apparently had a human lover. Vidaria has heard this story as well but also heard that their love ended tragically and wonders aloud if love between humans and fae can have a happy ending. Silver points our Sebek’s parents and then clumsily mentions that Malleus seems pretty attached to Yuulan. 

This later statement upsets Vidaria and Silver immediately apologizes. Vidaria isn’t upset at Silver, but laments that as much as she admires the Thorn Fairy, she couldn’t be more unlike her if she tried. She’s not only powerless, but loveless as well. Silver can see how distressed Vidaria is becoming and immediately goes to comfort her since her magic can become unstable/destructive in a heightened emotional state. He embraces her and tells her that she is indeed powerful and that she represents hope for the fae nations that there might be a peaceful future free of war or bloodshed. He also tells her that there are many people who do love her.

“Yes, many people do love me, as Briar Valley’s future queen. Just not my future king.”

Silver doesn’t know how to respond to this, as every response he forms in his mind feels out of line to him. So he just continues holding her until she is calm, and promises her that no matter what happens, he will always be by her side and serve her to the best of his ability. Secretly, he wishes upon the stars that even if he’s not allowed to love her, that he can at least, always, see to it that she’s happy.

Seven Forms Of Love Asks Here

Crisanta's best friend is Ione and her greatest wish for her is for her to be happy. And as an extension of that, she really wants to see Ione smile and laugh. This has been Crisanta's greatest wish from the moment she's known her and she goes to great lengths to see it come true. Probably the greatest thing she has done so far to see Ione happy is the portrait she created for her for the cultural festival's art gallery. Even though it meant she had to drop out of the VDC training camp and leave Ione there alone, the look on Ione's face when she saw her portrait made up for all of that because Crisanta was able to help her see herself as something other than a worthless weed.

Really, Crisanta can see that Ione has had a rough life with little joy and having a pretty shitty father herself, knows that none of Ione's sadness is her fault. Now that they are friends, Crisanta is determined to fill Ione's life with as much joy as possible to make up for all the joy her life has lacked.
